I have a Bond Arms Derringer in .38/.357 and one in .44 Spl. This is one of the best built small CCW guns I have ever owned. It is a close range personal defense weapon with 2 barrels that spell "I mean business"! The magnums , 44/40 and 10mm offerings are harsh, but the .32 HR, 9mm, .38, .44 SPL, .45 Colt/ACP/GAP rounds are easy to manage with a proper grip. This is the only gun I CCW. Bond Arms makes a solid derringer that is CNC quality built, tough, and very accurate at it's intended ranges. It is way ahead of other derringers on the market. You can change the barrrels out and in effect you have many guns in one! I suggest you buy one as a second gun or even as a primary CCW. I have had failures to feed shooting Kel Tecs, Kahrs, even a lock up on a Smith Model 60! I can always count on my Bond Arms Derringer to fire. You will have a lot of fun shooting this excellent little derringer!

I bought the new snake slayer IV today. The one I got is the .45 colt/.410. I will try to go out and shoot it tomarrow. I think it will be an awesome gun. I will rate it after i shoot it.

I bought some CCI .45 colt shot shells to use in my snake slayer IV. I've heard that is the best ammo to use in it. They say it gives a good pattern and does not recoil as bad. I'll find out in the morning when I go to shoot it.

Well, I shot my snake slayer IV today. Great gun, shoots real smooth and does not recoil as much as I thought it would. I think it will serve me well for a long time.

Just to let you know. If you use this gun for home defense use the .410 hollow point slugs in it. They have as much power as a .357 magnum without the recoil or the muzzle flash.

I made some rubber grips for my snake slayer IV. I will try to go out and shoot in a few days and see how they work.

I'm looking to buy the .45. Can anyone tell me if the recoil would be to much for a woman. I would like get it for both my wife and I for a ccw. Thanks

Yes the recoil is hard. I wrapped rubber tape around my grips to cushin it.

I just purchased the Snake Slayer IV, 45/410, with the larger

grips. Seems to me that even the larger grips are small. Anyone found larger grips for it? Also, I'm interested in purchasing a .22 Mag barrel for it. I talked with Bond the other day, and they did make this barrel at one time, but had problems with the spent casings splitting, making it difficult to extract them. They told me that they intend to re-address the .22 Mag barrel to try to solve this problem, but that they did sell some. Anyone know of one of these out in the market for sale? I've heard that recoil for this pistol is sometimes will bite your shooting hand knuckles...anyone experienced this. I haven't fired it yet, but will this weekend.

Seems to be a very well made weapon.
