New Fraud-Prevention Tool: Address-verified users

In an attempt to curtail scammers and fraudulent buyers/sellers, we have a new feature that helps reduce deceptive transactions from taking place. All users are now able to become 'address-verified', which uses your credit card billing address to cross-reference the address that is shown to buyers/sellers in a completed Classifieds transaction.



While we cannot guarantee the user's identity, this technique will help to reduce invalid physical addresses and scam attempts.



To become address-verified, simply click on your MY ACCOUNT link at the top of the page.



Verification costs $1 to the credit card to which you are cross-referencing your billing address.



Addresses are never posted publicly, only the buyer and seller of the transaction will be able to see the verified name and address.
